Easy Homemade Granola

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful week. As I mentioned last week, this week is all about my homemade gluten-free granola.

If you love a crunchy, delicious granola that’s naturally sweetened and packed with nutritious ingredients, this gluten-free granola recipe is for you!

Whether you’re enjoying it as a topping for yogurt like me, a snack on its own, or even a breakfast cereal alternative, this simple recipe is easy to make and fully customizable to your taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free oats
    • To make sure this recipe is gluten free make sure to use certified gluten free oats. I use One Degree Organic Sprouted Rolled Oats.
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
    • I will use whatever nuts I have on hand but I love using walnuts and pecans.
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 Tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ - 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup

Optional Mix-Ins:

  • Dried fruit (raisins, cranberries, chopped dates, etc)
  • Chocolate chips (add after baking for a sweet treat)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.

3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

4. Spread the mixture evenly on the baking sheet.

5. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown, stirring halfway through to ensure even baking.

6. Let cool completely, then add any optional mix-ins like dried fruit or chocolate chips.

7. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

This gluten-free granola is a staple in my kitchen because it’s simple, delicious, and so easy to make. Try it out and let me know your favorite mix-ins!

Would you add anything extra to make it your own? Let me know in the comments!

  1. This recipe sounds amazing! I love how simple and customizable it is. I’d probably add some cinnamon and maybe a sprinkle of sea salt for a little extra flavor. I’m also a big fan of adding chopped dark chocolate after baking for a sweet and crunchy combo. Can’t wait to try this, thanks for sharing! 😊
